Can I use my Basic Computing Package (BCP) services after I leave U-M?

There are different options depending on your relationship with the University:

Alumni and Former Students

Ongoing e-mail forwarding from your @umich.edu e-mail address is provided at no charge. See Forwarding or Redirecting Your E-Mail Using the U-M Online Directory Via the Web (S4279) for details.

If you wish to continue using the services in the Basic Computing Package, you can sign up for U-M Online.

Emeritus/Emerita Faculty

Emeritus/Emerita faculty may continue using BCP services at no charge. For details, see 19.K Emeritus/Emerita Status in the U-M Faculty Handbook.

Retired Staff

Retired staff members retain their ITCS-provided e-mail mailbox, but do not receive other BCP services, such as IFS space. See Frequently Asked Questions About ITCS Services for U-M Staff Retirees for details. To continue receiving all BCP services, retirees may sign up for U-M Online.

Others

Faculty and staff who leave the University for reasons other than retirement are not eligible to continue using BCP services.
